Material, material world for material girls.
Material, don’t ever get the truth bent.
Material, I could get you the blueprint.

“You know where she is. You’re the only one who can take me there.” Elfe dodged a tossed pair of gloves and confronted the diminutive, flatly expressioned scientist. Shelke’s self-designed aging treatments seem to have been successful, but her height hadn’t recovered to match.
“Vincent could take you. He would likely enjoy it for reasons of nostalgia.” There may have been the faintest hint of a bitter zing in that statement--or Elfe simply imagined it into the monotone. Shelke went back to her protein assay with a dismissive shrug.
“Yeah, that’s precisely why I can’t have him do it. You know what will happen, Dr. Rui...” Elfe’s tone was firm.
The use of her proper title caught Shelke off guard. Elfe was one of the few besides Reeve who addressed her professionally in the lab. Even the assistants called her by her given name. A minor annoyance, but enough to register regularly in her well-ordered brain. She clicked her tongue--a habit picked up from Lucy’s memories still bouncing in her head. “Yes, I do. Quite well. Fine.”
Elfe managed to keep a blank face, crossing her arms to not arm pump in victory.
“Have you decided who will occupy Vincent Valentine while we were gone? He will not be left behind willing.”
Somebody get security to escort us:
They take the long way, but we take the shortcuts.
“Handled. Already talked to D--er, Veld Dragoon. They were partners together in the Turks.”
“Yes, I am aware. Excellent. Then... we just need a plan for how to get her out. I’ll contact a recent acquaintance. She has a background in engineering, and might be able to help me with an acclimation chamber..”
“That’s why you’re the best, Doctor.”
